Obscured by the beauty and effectiveness of its predecessor, that “Biglietto per l’Inferno” LP that was released in 1974 and is still today considered an absolute must-have of Italian Progressive Rock, “Il tempo della semina” stands as a legendary release anyway, recorded by a band unaware that they would soon split up, leaving an unfinished work to rest in some forgotten archives.

Every Italian prog passionate listener knows that right when the band were at the peak of their live-show activity, their record label was going to shut down its activity: thus “Il tempo della semina” could not be released. It was only recovered almost twenty years later.
An historical LP, given the contest in which it was recorded and its ‘troubled gestation’.

Oscurato dalla bellezza e dall’immediatezza del suo predecessore, quel “Biglietto per l’Inferno” pubblicato nel 1974 e che ancora oggi è considerato tra i must-have assoluti del rock progressivo italiano, “Il tempo della semina” resta comunque un disco leggendario, registrato da una band che non sapeva che di lì a poco si sarebbe sciolta, lasciando un lavoro incompiuto a riposare in qualche dimenticato archivio.

La storia è nota ad ogni appassionato di prog italiano: proprio mentre la band decollava sull’onda di travolgenti live-show, l’etichetta discografica precipitava verso il falimento che rese impossibile la pubblicazione de “Il tempo della semina”. L'album venne recuperato solo quasi venti anni dopo. Dato il contesto in cui fu concepito e la sua ‘travagliata gestazione’, questo LP è ormai passato alla Storia del progressive italico.
